Hugh Ransom  Architect BArch Hons PGDip RIAS

Hugh has over twenty years experience in Architecture and construction.  Having graduated from Edinburgh College of Art, Hugh worked in notable practices in Edinburgh, including Campbell & Arnott and JMArchitects.

​

Moving to Aberdeen in 2011, Hugh worked for Halliday Fraser Munro, Keppie, and NORR, before joining AtkinsRéalis as a Project Manager and NEC Supervisor.  

​

While his career has covered healthcare, education, commercial, historic buildings, and other sectors, his desire to be an architect stems from growing up in rural Perthshire, when his parents redeveloped their cottage in the 1980's.  ​From these early beginnings pestering his parents' architect with his own sketches, Hugh has developed his skills and knowledge to suit the challenges of the day, but has always retained his passion for sensitive residential development and restoration.

When not at his desk, Hugh can be found exploring the outdoors on his mountain bike, or competing at Flyball with his family and their sprocker, Luna.
